English Muffin What ya’all reading? I’m admittedly juggling a lot of books right now, something about a Tek War, but I also started ‘The Lost City of Z.’ What about everyone else?
a-vampire I'm going through an audiobook for Pride and Prejudice currently! I also just started reading Finding My Elf by David Valdes, but I'm not sure if I'll stick with it yet.
wren I'm currently listening to Her Majesty's Royal Coven on Borrowbox. A bit different from my usual picks- so far it's not quite what I was expecting. It's more slice-of-life than I usually look for in a fantasy novel. I'm not very far into it yet though so that might change!
Kimberlee I have been on a "17th century demon and witchcraft treatises" kick lately ... just started Compendium Maleficarium, after Sinistro referenced it in some of his works.
Tsume I'm listening to Scott Westerfeld's Uglies. Recently started trying to do audiobooks on my short commute. I've been burned out and not reading for...years? So I'm please with this change.
eclipse It's been hectic, so I have 'Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell' by Susanna Clarke, 'The Night Circus' by Erin Morgenstern, and 'Black Sun Rising' by CS Friedman on pause.
Tsume eclipse Oh! There was (what I consider to be) a very fun series on Netflix I think of this? Not sure why I didn't bother looking up the novel itself... I loved the adaptation. Thank you for reminding me it exists!
wren I'm currently reading what I presume will be my final read of 2023: Vanilla by Mona Kabbani. I'm on a real horror bend at the moment.
Celeste Startwin I know it’s dense and mythological, but The Silmarillion is so cool you guys. This book rocks!
Kimberlee this is how you lose the time war I'm in love with this book. Read it last week and it is such a beautiful, nuanced story that I am already rereading it. also had a flash of inspiration for a creative project from it ...
electricbudgie I finally started reading Discworld! I'm reading in published order and I've just started Sourcery. I love it so much already.
Trae Dorn I don't think I ever would have considered going in Published order. Do love those books though -- only read a handful myself, but I think my wife has all of them
