Hello new pals!

Hi! I'm cassiterite (also known as Alexi, many other names) and I'm here from the witchcraft podcasts (both of them are great). I think I found them through Trae posting about them in response to someone on Bluesky asking about witchy podcasts. I was excited to hear about a forum because I'm very interested in "old internet" things that I remember from my childhood and adolescence like forums, where I spent a lot of my teen years.

I'm also really interested to see that you're using Flarum because I feel like not enough people use Flarum even though it seems like a really cool software. Most people seem to go for Discourse instead which is similar but I've always liked Flarum better for some reason I don't think I could articulate. (Maybe just because it feels like an underdog to me, who knows.)

Anyway. That probably gives you an idea of the kind of nerd I am haha. I think y'all seem cool and I'm happy to be here.

cassiterite I just sort of liked Flarum the best when I was looking at forum software options. In my heart, I'll always be a PHPBB2 lover, but alas something that old would never be secure. 😆
