There are magnets in the keyboard and the numberpad so if they're on a flat surface together, they snap in place next to eachother.

do the doom buttons also snap in to place or are they meant to keep their distance?

Kimberlee They don't snap to the keyboard, but they do snap to the side of the joystick if I put them together (and any other button accessories if I ordered another set -- the keyboard has four ports for the buttons. The Joystick takes up two, so I could technically add another pair if I wanted)

In theory I could program some macros. Or bind some other random windows shortcuts.

yeah, laptop keyboards are just not the same... I have a gaming keyboard and set all the keys on "hard" for maximum CLICKITY.
